'U' Glossary Terms
ULL - Unconditioned Local Loop
In the local exchange, this is a dedicated copper pair from the MDF
at the customer's premises to a MUX, or similar.

USO - Universal Service Obligation
Administered by the ACMA, the universal service obligation (USO) is
the obligation placed on universal service providers to ensure that
standard telephone services, payphones, and prescribed carriage
services are reasonably accessible to all people in Australia on an
equitable basis, wherever they reside or carry on business..
USP - Universal Service Provider
A provider of telecommunications services or Carriage Service
Provider that is responsible for fulfilling the Universal Service
Obligation (USO) as set out by the ACMA. |
